There is an incredibly beautiful and wide variety of Butterflies and Moths in our semi-wild area despite the tremendous amounts of pesticides and herbicides regularly sprayed by the commercial white farmers, which are carried by the wind to the remaining surrounding wilderness consequently causing irreparable damage. How long will these exceedingly delicate and exquisitely complex beautiful species survive is any one's guess. Let’s keep in mind that a butterfly is on its first incarnation just a caterpillar which eats leaves as food, farmers’ worst enemy. The numbers have decreased throughout the years however we are still so fortunate to see and enjoy them on our semi and wild areas as well.
