All major religious traditions carry basically the same message, that is love, compassion, forgiveness and the important thing is they should be part of our daily lives.

Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn't anyone who doesn't appreciate kindness and compassion.

With realization of one own's potential and self confidence in one's ability, one can build a better world.

Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.

I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the Universe.

Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful, a meaningful friend, or a meaningful day."

by the Dalai Lama

Meditate. Live purely. Be quiet. Do your work with mastery. Like the moon, come out from behind the clouds. Shine.

You can explore the Universe looking for somebody who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and you will not find that person anywhere.

On life's journey Faith is nourishment, virtuous deeds are a shelter, wisdom is the light by day and right mindfulness is the protection by night. If a man or a woman lives a pure life nothing can destroy him or her, If he or she has conquered greed nothing can limit his or her freedom.

Pay no attention to the faults of others, things done or left undone by others. Consider only what by oneself is done or left undone.

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die, so, let us all be thankful.

Buddhist Quotes

Zazen practice is the direct expression of our true nature.

In the zazen posture, your mind and body have great power to accept things as they are, whether agreeable or disagreeable.

Zen is not some kind of excitement, but concentration on our usual everyday routine.

Bowing is a very serious practice. You should be prepared to bow, even in your last moment."

From Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind by Shunryu Suzuki Roshi
