NYANGO'S DROPPING CENTER FOR ORPHANS

ACORNOEK, MPUMALANGA, SOUTH AFRICA

PLENTY INTERNATIONAL & KANIMAMBO CREATIONS
2022/2023

The Nyango's Dropping Center for Orphans, funded by Plenty International and technically supervised by Kanimambo Creations, has been completed as one can see from the slide show. The Centre is located in Acornoek, Mpumalanga Province of South Africa. It was founded by Ms. Nyango also known as Remember, a native of the MaShangaan tribe and an outstanding South African lady of 35 years of age, with a passion and dedication to educate children. She decided to start the Centre to address some of the basic needs as there are many children in this region who have lost their parents due to AIDS, malnutrition, Covids, etc. Her main goal for the Centre is to provide a daily nutritious meal to some of the local orphans thus alleviating hunger in this rural community. She has a college diploma in Public Management and Computer Sciences, and she holds a SACE teaching certificate. She has been successfully administering her Tsundzukani Bright Eye's Daycare Center assisted by other dedicated local women for over 5 years now.
Two local building companies were contracted for upgrading the existing building. Their performances were outstanding and again our community program provided some temporary employment. This project provided further on-job-training of these motivated building technicians and we had the opportunity as well of hiring three other local friends for basic labor assistance who received intense training in several building skills. A rain water catchment/storage system was installed in order to provide clean water for drinking, washing and preparation of meals. A heavy-duty double ventilated toilet was also built in order to accommodate the orphans who will be using the Centre.  The following step was to build an exterior kitchen where the daily meals are currently prepared. The next stage was to fence and establish a vegetable garden in order to grow sufficient produce for the orphans' daily meals. These 20 orphans attend a local primary school and come to the Centre afterwards to get their lunch. After finishing their food and washing their utensils, they also receive assistance on their school home work assignments. Plenty International has also provided various children's books for the Centre.
The Centre will need monthly assistance in order to continue providing meals for these orphans, so please consider to donate in cash or food provisions, Thanks! Please contact Nyango at her cell/whatsapp : +27 83 367 8475
