TSUNDZUKANI BRIGHT EYE'S DAYCARE CENTER
The Bright Eye's Daycare Centre in Acornoek was founded by Xitsundzuxo Nyango also known as Remember, an outstanding South African lady of 29 years of age with a passion and dedication to teach children. She has a college diploma in public management and computer sciences, and holds a SACE teaching certificate and HIV/AIDS certificate. The Daycare Center's mission is to prepare academically the children from the deep rural communities of Mpumalanga, so that they can go out there and face the modern world of today.
In order to creatively accomplish this task they must develop a strong foundation thus brightening their future for well developed skills. Simultaneously they will also learn their culture, customs, history and religion. She strongly believes that our rural children must get equal education as those who live in the urban areas of our country.
The Center charges an affordable monthly fee for each child whose parents are working all day. It also serves 3 basic nutritious meals to the children. The Center needs much financial support from donors in order to continue improving its facilities such as running water and sanitation facilities, basic classroom furniture, more school supplies and complete the kitchen's building. If you are interested in donating cash or materials, please contact Remember at 083 367 8475, much appreciated!
A special thanks to Mwana Bermudes for his contribution of photography and for creating this web page for the Daycare Center. As the Project Coordinator of Plenty Canada in Africa he will also be searching for funding.
